“時代新象”——2019 中國·景德鎮(zhèn)“陶溪川”公共雕塑國際大展58件作品入選初評名單及作品揭曉

  由中央美術學院與景德鎮(zhèn)市人民政府聯(lián)合主辦的“時代新象”——2019中國·景德鎮(zhèn)“陶溪川”公共雕塑國際大展,自2019年7月20日向全球發(fā)布征集函以來,截止至2019年9月30日共收集到來自全球49個國家和地區(qū)(含中國)共1848件(組)公共雕塑作品。
  展覽評審委員會于2019年10月17—18日在景德鎮(zhèn)陶溪川美術館對作品進行了嚴格評審。整個評審過程歷時兩天,共四輪評審,最終共選出58件作品。此次評審工作全程都在江西華鎮(zhèn)律師事務所的見證下執(zhí)行,確保了本次大展評審程序及評審結果的合法性和有效性。
  這些經(jīng)初評入選的作品經(jīng)過進一步深化設計和創(chuàng)作后,將以實物模型的方式,參加“時代新象”——2019中國·景德鎮(zhèn)“陶溪川”公共雕塑國際大展,展覽時間為2019年12月20日,展覽地點在景德鎮(zhèn)陶溪川美術館。屆時將對58件作品展開復選評審工作。

  A478《花開瓷蕓》
  作品設計成花苞開放的造型,用漢白玉建造,寓示景德鎮(zhèn)的市花茶花的潔白雅氣,以梅瓶元素排列組合在花蕾造型之上,形成裝飾,很好地詮釋了景德鎮(zhèn)自古以來瓷茶文化的歷史淵源和立世之本。作品建立在景德鎮(zhèn)市金嶺大道和唐英大道交匯中心環(huán)島,此域古為浮梁縣與景德鎮(zhèn)的連接處,也是昌江河寶石碼頭所在地,附近茶園遍地擁簇著“現(xiàn)代名坊園”。雕塑設計意寓景德鎮(zhèn)瓷茶文化,是切合實地文化和自然環(huán)境的雕塑造型,可以從四面八方進行觀賞。

  Blossoming Porcelain Flower
  The work is shaped as a blossoming camellia made of white marbles to imply the qualities of pure white and elegance of the city flower of Jingdezhen.A combination of arranged plum-vase elements is laid on the top of the bud,which perfectly explains the city's ceramic and tea culture as its historical origin and fundamental basis.The work is located in the junction roundabout of Jinling Ave.and Tangying Ave.the connection place of Fuliang county and Jingdezhen in ancient times.It is also the spot of Baoshi Wharf of the Chang River where tea gardens surround“Minfangyuan”.The sculpture implies the ceramic and tea culture of the city.Its design goes in consistence with the local culture and natural environment,which can be appreciated from all angles.

  A437《對話世界》
  本雕塑采用以人物、森林與“碗”結合的造型,一個傳統(tǒng)陶瓷造型的“碗”對半錯位構成,碗里是鏡面不銹鋼打磨,白天可以映射出藍天白云,形成動感的變化;碗外是不銹鋼烤漆,晚上通過LED光折射出炫麗的光彩。碗口的一邊是一群前行的人,象征著景德鎮(zhèn)一代又一代的手工匠人走過千年訴說著景德鎮(zhèn)故事;碗口的另一邊是一片郁郁蔥蔥的的生態(tài)森林,象征著景德鎮(zhèn)青山綠水的生態(tài)家園。碗足為三個不同造型的人,代表著景德鎮(zhèn)的過去、現(xiàn)在和未來。彰顯景德鎮(zhèn)著力打造一座與世界對話城市的理念,寓意著景德鎮(zhèn)更美好的未來。

  Dialogue with the World
  The work takes on an integrated shape of human,forest and“bowl”.The traditional shape of a porcelain bowl is constituted with two malposted halves.The inner surface of the bowl is made of stainless steels that can reflect blue sky and white cloud to form dynamic changes during daytime.The outer surface is sprayed with stainless steel paint that can reflect dazzling colors of LED lamps at night.On the right upside of the bowl is a group of people walking forward,symbolizing the city's craftsmen have been striving for generations telling the city's stories.The other side is a vigorous ecological forest,representing the city as ecological home with green mountains and clear waters.The bowl is supported by three people of different shapes,standing for the city's past,present and future.The work expresses the idea that the city aims to dialogue with the world for a brighter future.

  With Resourceful Wisdom and Irreproachable Conduct
  In the middle of the work is a round rock surrounded by square steels.It means that a person should have both great aspirations and upright behaviors as the old saying goes that a man’s wisdom shall be resourceful and conduct irreproachable.

  珠山大道北側,陶溪川北入口,空地。陶溪川是中國首座以陶瓷文化為主體的一站式文化休閑娛樂旅游體驗創(chuàng)意園區(qū),是整個景德鎮(zhèn)乃至中部地區(qū)唯一比肩世界的多業(yè)態(tài)特色文創(chuàng)園區(qū)。雕塑通過圓形對方形的穿越,表達一種動勢力量,體現(xiàn)創(chuàng)新與突破精神。

  Breakthrough
  The work is located at an open space near the north entrance of Taoxichuan,the north side of Zhushan Ave.Taoxichuan is China's first one-stop creative park for cultural recreation,entertainment,tourism experience with ceramic culture as the basis.It is also the only top-notch multiple-industry cultural creative park in Jingdezhen and even the central region.The sharp contrast between shapes of round and square implies dynamic power,innovation and spirits of breakthrough.

  景德鎮(zhèn)自古便是瓷器之都,對制作工藝也極其嚴格,特別是官窯,我從景德鎮(zhèn)眾多著名的器型中挑出了幾種常見且有名的形狀,他們相互銜接,你中有我,我中有你,形成一個復雜多樣的空間形態(tài),鏡面不銹鋼更是變形的反射出人們多姿婀娜的形態(tài)。

  Porcelain·Space
  Jingdezhen has been the porcelain capital since ancient times.People are very strict with ceramics making techniques,especially for Royal Kilns.The author chooses some common and typical shapes from the ceramics produced in Jingdezhen,which interconnect and interweave with each other,creating a complicated and diversified space.The mirror stainless steels can reflect people's transformed figures.

  The ancient Chinese expressed their cosmology with“round heaven and square earth”.The work explains a spatial idea that heaven and earth are united as one with multiple concentric circles,aggregating to create a space where heaven and earth interact and all beings mutually reinforce with each other,as well as a sense of power.

  作品地處景德鎮(zhèn)古八景之一的“十里春風”之地,以自然屬性為主,該地有豐富的自然資源,一路林木蒼翠,曲徑深邃,鳥語花香,景色宜人,是理想的居民休閑娛樂場所。藝術品以人民群眾喜聞樂見的“鯨魚”元素為創(chuàng)作點,力圖以輕松的形態(tài)和優(yōu)美的外形帶給人輕松愉快的感覺。鯨魚肚內的滑滑梯和旁邊的沙池,幫助作品吸引市民互動,兼具公共娛樂設施的作用。

  Diving Fish
  The work is located in a place called“ten miles of spring wind”,one of the eight famous scenes in ancient Jingdezhen.The sculpture features natural properties as this site is rich in natural resources with green trees along both sides of the road and singing birds and fragrant flowers,an ideal place for people to recreate.The work is shaped as a“whale”,a familiar image to people.The“whale”has lively figure and beautiful outlines,bringing pleasure and relaxation to people.The slide inside of the“whale”and nearby sand pool will attract people to get involved.They also serve as public facilities for entertainment.

  A410《水映青花》
  雕塑方案造型解析:
  (1)、雕塑整體造型為一顆落地水滴,白底而青邊,故名:水映青花。(2)、水滴形象與色彩緣起于景德鎮(zhèn)青花瓷器型,從青花瓷的藝術元素中提取出固有特質,用水滴這一自然形態(tài)來表現(xiàn)青花瓷晶瑩剔透、清雅秀麗的視覺感受。(3)、水滴造型取自于自然,但在藝術處理中采用了現(xiàn)代解構主義的理念加以分析和重組,使其具有后現(xiàn)代主義特質,適合現(xiàn)代社會人們的審美取向。
  雕塑方案寓意解析:
  (1)、作品方案水映青花,融匯青花瓷的經(jīng)典元素、水滴的造型,采用解構主義的表現(xiàn)手法,象征中國瓷都正在現(xiàn)代化的發(fā)展道路上生生不息前景光明。(2)、水利萬物而不爭,滋養(yǎng)萬物的水滴吊墜千年瓷都,它是財源的象征。寓指:瓷都景德鎮(zhèn)呈上蒼之甘露,育瓷都之生靈。

  Blue-and-white Waterdrop
  Design description
  (1).The overall shape of the work is a falling waterdrop on the ground with white background and blue lines.(2).The image and color design of the waterdrop is inspired by Jingdezhen's blue-and-white porcelains.The properties of blue-and-white porcelains are refined and displayed in the work.The shape of waterdrop is taken to demonstrate the visual feelings of clear and crystal,refined and elegant for blue-and-white porcelains.(3).Taking the shape from nature,the work employs modern deconstructivism idea in its artistic treatment to analyze and reconstruct,bringing post modernism qualities to audiences’aesthetic orientation of modern times.
  Implications
  (1)With the combination of classical element of blue-and-white porcelains and the water-shaped design,the work adopts deconstructivism techniques of expression to signify the vitality and bright future of the porcelain capital in its modernization development.(2).Water nourishs everything while never takes anything from it.The nourishing waterdrop is like a pendant hanging over the city to imply fortunes.The city gets fortune from heaven and gives it to its people.

  A113《瓷都印象-昌南風景》
  瓷都景徳鎮(zhèn)古稱昌南鎮(zhèn),聞名于世。抽象豐碑表現(xiàn)了景徳鎮(zhèn)的山峰空靈相依,高峻挺拔、秀美嵯峨,工匠們以堅韌不拔的毅力探索工藝高峰,志存高遠。寓意境內多山、盛產優(yōu)質高嶺土,瓷都人民世世代代在這塊土地上耕耘制藝,用辛勤的汗水譜寫并筑造了千年瓷都的不朽豐碑。昌南里以景德鎮(zhèn)特色陶瓷文化為基礎打造的文化產業(yè)項目,跨越界限和傳統(tǒng)思維方式,提升城市生活體驗和美學水平,將昌南里打造成為涵蓋體驗藝術、時尚居宜的城市空間,成為景德鎮(zhèn)對話世界的新窗口。

  Impression of the Ceramic Capital——Scenery of Changnan
  Jingdezhen city,used to be Changnan Town,is renowned in the world as the“Porcelain Capital”.The abstract monuments of the work symbolize the beautiful lofty rolling mountains of the city as well as craftsmen's perseverance and aspiration in exploring the peaks of ceramic techniques.It also implies that the land is mountainous,rich in Kaolin earth,a prime material for making porcelains and that the people on this land have been striving for cultivation and porcelain craftmanship generation after generation,writing and forging an enduring monument of the millennium porcelain capital.The Changnanli cultural industry project is designed based on Jingdezhen's characteristic ceramic culture,committed to break traditional boundaries and conventional thinking,improve urban living experiences and aesthetic values,as well as update the current area into an urban space featuring artistic experience,fashion and livability.It will open up a new window for dialogue with the world.

  A554《律動》
  作品采用鋼筋水泥和五彩斑斕的顏色釉瓷片組成的一個看起來跳動的音符,色彩斑斕的顏色代表著城市發(fā)展的特有的,朝氣蓬勃的向上的容貌。跳動的節(jié)奏,感覺強有力的聲音從中蹦發(fā)而出,無限的生機和發(fā)展前景從中不斷的沖擊出來,給人感覺整個城市像一顆年輕的心臟,源源不斷的給人帶來全新的感受!

  The work uses rebars,cements and colorful glazed porcelain pieces to shape a seemingly dancing note.The rich colors stand for the unique,energetic and progressive spirits in the city’s development.Through dancing rhythms,powerful voices bounce out from the notes,infinite vigor and bright prospect of the city dash out unceasingly,which makes people feel the city like a young heart,bringing novel and refreshing feelings.

  稻草捆扎工藝作為景德鎮(zhèn)百年以來陶瓷運輸?shù)闹匾踩雷o措施,承載了景德鎮(zhèn)陶瓷出口產業(yè)悠久的歷史與文化傳承?,F(xiàn)如今由于泡沫包裹成本低廉,稻草價格上漲,且捆扎技術較為復雜,稻草捆扎工藝瀕臨失傳。此作品的目的是在昌河邊這一古代水運要道重現(xiàn)古代陶瓷運輸時它們的狀態(tài),喚醒人們對那個時代、這段歷史的記憶,同時也讓這門技術不至于永遠消失在人們的記憶中,也可以反映出景德鎮(zhèn)陶瓷出口產業(yè)的燦爛輝煌。由于有兩個點位,實地安裝時可分為兩組,大體作品效果相同,組成構件及擺放位置稍作調整。

  As an important protection measure for ceramics transportation over centuries in Jingdezhen,straw bounding crafts bear the long history and cultural heritage of the city's ceramics export.Nowadays,due to low cost of foam package,rise of straw prices and complicated techniques in straw bounding,the crafts are on the brink of extinction.The work aims to reproduce the state of ceramics transportation along the Chang River,an important waterway in ancient times.Hopefully this work can awaken public memories of the history in old times so that the crafts won't disappear in people's minds.It also shows the brilliant past of the city's ceramic exporting industry.Since there are two sites for this work,onsite installation can be separated in two groups with similar artistic effects.The constituents and installing places could be modified.

  該作品的形象是一件普通的陶瓷修坯刀。放大一把普通修坯刀的意義在于,其一、修坯在景德鎮(zhèn)傳統(tǒng)成型工藝中非常重要的一環(huán),傳統(tǒng)的器物大多都要在拉坯之后,待泥坯干燥之后再利坯,目的是使器物達到我們想要的器型造型以及細節(jié)。這就好比人也需要不斷修正自己,時刻修行。其二從環(huán)境的角度來說,昌南里珠山西大道最顯著的標志就是昌南里美術館,它的造型就是一只大茶盞,把天地拉近了,人們仿佛走進巨人國,一把大的修坯刀正好與昌南里美術館相呼應,只有這樣一把大的修坯刀,才能修出這樣大的茶盞,那使用這工具的人有多大呢......這表達了設計師們對傳統(tǒng)手工藝藝人的一種崇高的敬仰之情。
  安全性,如果尺寸過小,一是比例與昌南里美術館不協(xié)調,二是小孩更容易攀爬,安全隱患更多;如果設計時超尺寸,小孩不能爬上去反而是安全的,與昌南里美術館的尺寸比例也是會很協(xié)調的。

  Cultivation
  The shape of the work is a common knife for amending potteries.There are two points for exaggerating a common amending knife:first,amending a pottery body is a crucial step in traditional pottery shaping techniques of the city.For most of traditional wares,they have to be amended after clay comes into shape by hand throwing and is then dried.tThe purpose of this step is to have wares meet our expectations of shapes and details.This also implies that man should always amend and improve ourselves for every moment;second,speaking from the perspective of environment,the most remarkable symbol of the West Zhushan Av.of Changnanli district is Changnan Gallery that is like a huge teapot bringing heaven closer to earth.People would feel like entering a reign of giants in front of the gallery that echoes perfectly with this huge amending knife.It is only with this huge knife that a giant teapot could be created.Then people using the knife will be extremely lofty.This is to honor the traditional craftsmen with great admiration.
  For the sake of safety,it will be risky for kids to climb the suclpture if it is too small.In addition,the small size wouldn't match Changnanli Gallery.A huge size of the work would prevent kids from climbing it and would coordinate with the size of Changnanli Gallery.

  巧用英文“CHINA”有“中國”和“瓷器”兩個中文意思,兩組豎立的英文單詞在形上有鏡像的效果,義上又貼切表達了郭沫若“中華向號瓷之國,瓷業(yè)高峰是此都?!鳖}詞;具現(xiàn)代感的雕塑外輪廓采用景德鎮(zhèn)古名居外型,有“都”的意思,也表達舊貌新顏,寓意景德鎮(zhèn)冶瓷歷史悠久且未來更加輝煌;表面材質采用景德鎮(zhèn)陶瓷經(jīng)典工藝“青花”和“釉里紅”瓷片鋼掛。選址10號點位,是因為機場是外賓主要出入口,英文更容易產生共鳴。

  Porcelain Capital of China
  The work makes delicate use of a pun“China”,which means the country and ceramics at the same time.Visually the two upright English words create mirror images,and semantically it properly represents Guo Moruo’s inscription that“China has always been regarded as a country of porcelain,while Jingdezhen tops the country's porcelain industry”.The modern outline of the sculpture is inspired by the city's traditional houses,meaning“capital”,which showcases the transformation of an old city into a new one,implying the long history and even brighter future of Jingdezhen’s porcelain making industry.The surface materials are ceramic pieces of traditional“blue-and-white”and“in-glaze red”crafts connected and hung by steel.The site of the work is No.10,the airport of the city.As foreign guests come and go through it,English word will evoke their emotions more easily.

  城市公共藝術的建設,最終的目的并不是那些物質形態(tài),而是為了滿足城市人群的精神需求,在人們的心目中樹立一個城市文化的意象。它是滲透到人們日常生活中的路徑與場景,是通過物化的精神場引導人們熟悉、了解自己城市的文化坐標。公共藝術在營造新的城市公共空間與環(huán)境景觀的同時,也創(chuàng)造著城市的新文化,用人文精神滋潤我們的生活。這種城市文化的精神場已經(jīng)成為了城市風格的助推器。
  這次方案的主旨意在打造城市公共藝術文化地標。
  青山:青山部分是雕塑核心內容,用青銅鑄造的手法塑造了山脈的氣勢,古窯址更是畫龍點睛,被群山環(huán)繞,正是自然景觀與人文景觀的描繪。
  綠水:雕塑底座設計結合了水景,體現(xiàn)中國傳統(tǒng)文化映月的意境,從視覺上給雕塑增加了神秘與驚奇,使人驚喜之中多了一份親密。
  圓月:從古至今圓月都是吉祥之兆的象征。

  Clear waters:The bottom of the work is inspired by water sceneries,representing typical imaginary in Chinese traditional culture of moon being reflected in water,adding a sense of mystery and surprise to its visual effects,which makes people feel more intimate.

  The historical heritage of Jingdezhen is attributed to this wonderland.This work is inspired by stones,“materials”for sculpture,refined from land because stone is part of land.Site No.25 is located along a traffic line therefore drivers won't stop to appreciate a work along the road.The size of this work makes it visible from afar with 3 meters in height and 12 meters in length.When they drive past,it also creates a seemingly stretched sense of speed,making itself a semi-dynamic sculpture,which implies that the city would inherit its past and go forward bravely.This work matches its site but is not confined by“l(fā)ocal characteristics”,hence a sculpture with international horizons.

  《意味》這件作品就像是正準備從此地出發(fā)的列車一樣,具有狹長的線條,抽象的形態(tài)有機的組合加強了雕塑的工業(yè)感和科技感。在雕塑的頂部有個旋轉的線條(每分鐘轉一圈),暗示著動力的存在,有種蓄勢待發(fā)的狀態(tài)。它也像是一個外星生物來到了這個世界,延伸出去的型像是在探測這個陌生世界的靈魂。一些抽象的形態(tài)有意味的結合在一起,形成了新的生命體,新的秩序。對于觀眾而言,陌生的視覺感受和身體體驗可能是激起他興致的關鍵,所以我從不想放置一個沒有獨特氣質的形態(tài)在這樣的公共空間里。

  The work is like a train departing from the site.A delicate integration of long narrow lines and abstract shapes strengthens the sense of industry and technology.The spinning line on top of the sculpture rotates a complete turn every minute,implying the existence of power in a ready-to-move state.It is also like an alien creature coming to our world.The stretching parts symbolize its soul detecting this strange world.Some abstract shapes are integrated meaningfully to form new lives and orders.For the viewers,the unfamiliar visual and physical experiences are vital in provoking their interests.I have never considered putting a shape without any unique characteristics in public spaces.

  Site No.25 is close to Fuliang county where kilns and businesses flourished.It is the east exit of Jingdezhen,the window of the city.The work utilizes the method of cutting steel planks,adopts the shape of fire and refers to traditional Buddha’s light elements.The hollow part is a typical local porcelain shape,presenting the image of making porcelains in a kiln.There is a specular red fire visual effect at night when red lights are turned on.

  作品為動態(tài)雕塑,以自然風為動力,2-3級微風即可驅動作品運動。自然氣息微動,風雨徐來,則作品風葉隨風而動,圓環(huán)應雨而轉,恰似傳統(tǒng)青花瓷燒制絕品天青色時等待迷蒙煙雨。以科技與藝術結合,體現(xiàn)一種傳統(tǒng)的文化意味。作品主體陣列雙排翅裝結構,在前端螺旋槳的推動下,構造為波浪飛翔的姿態(tài)。底部結合中國傳統(tǒng)木結構中的斗拱樣式進行支撐,斗拱又異化發(fā)展為舒展的流線形態(tài),在滿足支撐作用的前提下提升美感。

  Celeste in Fog and Rain
  It is a dynamic sculpture powered by natural wind.Slight wind about 2-3 degrees is enough to make is dynamic.The floating air seems to be awaiting for the rain,the blades of the sculpture would motion with wind and round circles would also spin with rain,which seems to resemble that traditional blue-and-white porcelain is waiting for the misty rain when burning the amazing azure.
  The combination of technology and art present a traditional cultural implication.The main body is in a double-wing structure powered by propeller at the front end,producing an effect of waves flying.The bottom part is inspired by traditional Chinese wood structure of bracket patterns that serve as a supporting basis.Furthermore,the bracket patterns are transformed into streamline shapes that adds to aesthetic value while supporting the whole work.

  The Ceramic Road
  The work integrates ceramic silhouettes and top-down streamlined design,portraying the winding roads whereby the Jingdezhen Royal Kiln Factory transported ceramics with multiple transits.The reddish rusting effects of weathering resistent steel plates express a scenery of a mountain-surrounded city of Jingdezhen,blending with various ceramic shapes.The rusting irons and stainless steels are fully integrated,making a porcelain wonderland with multiple space levels.The cutouts of the plates leave a space for people to walk in and to interact with the work.

  本作品以由山體支撐的在空間中平衡的圓環(huán)為基本造型,通過圓環(huán)的向前懸挑和向后縱深在空間中形成延展的空間張力。而圓環(huán)與山體在體量上相互咬合,其中一側為圓環(huán)將山體切割出豁口,另一側則是圓環(huán)嵌于山體之內,體量上互動的趣味不僅使得圓環(huán)的線性得以在視覺上獲得延伸,更在視覺上構成字母C的形式,與瓷器的“China”相意合。位于城市的門戶,作品與環(huán)境相得益彰,其形象好似鑲嵌在山體中的“門環(huán)”,這既是景德鎮(zhèn)城市的時代象征,也展現(xiàn)了景德鎮(zhèn)開放的城市姿態(tài)。

  Door Ring
  The main body of the work is a balanced ring in the air resting on a slope.With bottom end suspending forward and top end backward,the work creates stretching spatial tensions.The ring and slope are interconnected with the left side of the ring cutting a notch on the slope and the right side embedded in the slope.The interesting interaction between the two volumes produces a stretched linear visual effect of the ring,at the same time visually forming the letter“C”which represents china,the old name of ceramics.Located in the gateway of Jingdezhen,the work showcases its harmonious presence with surrounding environment:the shape of the work is like a door ring inlaid in the slope,serving as a symbol of new era in Jingdezhen and a demonstration of openness of this city.

  葉面的特殊形狀同時也具備了“遮陽”的功能性,加強了“廣場”的屬性,會吸引更多人在這里歡聚。作品雖體量龐大,卻感受不到空間壓迫,因為大部分材料懸于空中,視覺上反而更輕盈優(yōu)雅,地面上會隨陽光投射出美麗的陰影,它會是城市的一個文化地標。

  The unique shape of ginkgo offers a function of“shadow”and stresses the characteristics of square.There will be many people gathering here.Despite its huge size,people won't feel pressed in the space because most of the body is in the air,giving people a visual feeling of lightness and elegance.What's more,beautiful shadows will be cast on the ground.It will be a new cultural landmark of the city.

  The composition is figurative,realistic with added distorted volumes of jet airplane wings.Anatomy is slightly distorted to fit tension between figure and aerodynamic distorted wings.The composition is denying gravity.The symbolism of sculpture is rooted in modern interpretation Greek myth of Icarus and Daedalus.Sculpture is dedicated to Daedalus as he approached flying within optimal awareness of consequences.Something necessary for human kind and its future development,unlimited progress but with awareness of necessary balance with nature.The composition nurtures impression of fantastic,a mirage like object,an image resembling Digital computer games or Science Fiction movie character.Composition reflects modernistic and futuristic values.

  Windows To The Future
  Build the future step by step.The square signs that make up the sculpture are a symbol of the process of building parts of the future step by step.The view through the windows gives us a sense of feeling to the future-we feel the achievements and layers of accumulation at every point of time.The visual interlace of the columns in the windows to the sky symbolizes the process of accumulation over the time.They interact to build splendid vision to glorious future.

  Discovery
  The concept of the work is“discovery”,consisting of two large cuts in the body of the Earth in the shape of a cross.
  The edges of the sections bent up and exposed the interior of the Earth.This land reveals to mankind the secrets of its bowels.Now together we will build a better future for humanity and its mother-the planet Earth.This is an interactive sculpture.The public can walk inside the sculpture and climb on it.The sculpture is built by a bulldozer from clay-sandy soil.Cut lines must be sculpted with your hands.The upper planes are covered with turf.Inside-red brick.Pipes for irrigation of grass are laid in the structure.

  “New Image of the Era”—The 2019 China Jingdezhen“Taoxichuan”Public Sculpture International Exhibition
  Primary Selection Shortlist Announcement
  “New Image of the Era”,the 2019 China Jingdezhen“Taoxichuan”Public Sculpture International Exhibition is sponsored by the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the People’s Government of Jingdezhen Municipality.A total of 1848 pieces/groups of designs from 49 countries and regions(including China)were received from July 20,2019 when Call for Designs was released internationally to September 30,2019.
  The primary selection review was held on 17-18th October 2019 in Jingdezhen Taoxichuan Art Gallery.After four rounds of evaluation in 2 days,the review board finally shortlisted 58 works.The entire process was carried out under the legal supervision of Jiangxi Huazhen Law Firm,ensuring the validity and effectiveness of the review process and results.
  These works will be presented on“New Image of the Era”,the 2019 China Jingdezhen“Taoxichuan”Public Sculpture International Exhibition in the form of physical models after further revision and creation.The Exhibition will be held on December 20 2019 in Jingdezhen Taoxichuan Art Gallery.Whereupon the secondary selection review will be implemented for the 58 shortlisted works.
