As the sun shines through the sky and gives us a warm embrace, THIS DL Student Union is beginning to collect mascots design from everybody!Come and let us see you.This is the time to show your talent. The shining you need to seen by everyone!

聽到這個消息以后，大家是不是非常期待，見到清香吉祥物的真面目呢？當主持人公布了這一好消息之后，老師看到了同學們期待的眼神，所以接下來的內容要仔細觀看嘍。

Are you happy to hear the news and expect to see the mascot? Teachers had already see starlight in eyes of students when the good news released, so just read what follows carefully!

01 吉祥物的歷史

同學們一定非常好奇，吉祥物是怎么來的呢？這個詞匯其實源于法國普羅旺斯語Mascotto，到了19世紀末被正式收入法文詞典，英文的Mascot由此衍變而來，意味著帶來吉祥、好運的人、動物或物件。

You must feel so curious about the history of mascot.Actually, this word is originated from Provencal in France and was called Mascotto at first, until 19th century，it was compiled into French dictionary and finally changed into the English word Mascot. It means a lucky person or creature or object.

吉祥物文化在全世界都十分風行，從遠古時代人們就熱愛制作具有民族特色的圖騰，到了現代不少企業(yè)、賽事依然熱衷于設計獨一無二的吉祥物。最出名的莫過于奧運會吉祥物了。1968年格勒諾布爾第10屆冬季奧運會上，一只半人半物的卡通型滑雪小人兒誕生了！它有著紅彤彤的大腦袋，銀色的流線形的身材，這個小家伙被稱為雪士(Schuss)，也是奧運歷史上第一只吉祥物。

Mascot culture preveils all over the world. People love to make totem with national characteristics from ancient times and still give the passion to design unique mascots for  companies and competitions. The most famous mascot is Olympic mascot. In 1968, a cartoon skiing guy with half object feature was born in the 10th Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble! It has a big tomato-red head and a silver streamlined body，which was called Schuss-the first mascot in Olympic history.

THIS DL is a community of joyful learners and creative thinkers where propose a value of collaboration，discovery，engagement，Tsinghua Spirit and cultural Diversity. We hope to collect the most interested idea from your heart！

03設計要求

從今天開始,有想法的同學可以向學生會任意一名部長,或主席團的成員進行提交, 也可以提交給你的班主任,或直接提交到辦公室：C223

From today, any student who has a mascot design can give it to any department minister of the Student Union，or the presidents, or your homeroom teachers；or， you can submit the design directly to office C223.

你的作品一旦入選，將會成為學校的官方吉祥物，并被批量生產成各種衍生品，在各個地方都會展示你的設計成果！

Once selected, your design will become the school's official mascot and be mass-produced into derivatives that will be displayed everywhere!
